Back on the Blog Trail

HI!

It's been awhile...& lots has changed!

Kinnley is growing like a WEED! She is walking (as of June 1/ 9.5 months old) and she has quite the personality!

We have been having a lot of fun together and I am really enjoying this mom thing (I knew that I would).

I promise that I am going to try to blog more about us and about the things we are doing. We try lots and lots of things we see on Pinterest and I need to do a better job sharing what we try and what works and what doesn't. Plus I want to keep all of my followers up to date on our cloth diapering/breast feeding/attachment parenting adventures!

Cloth Diapering:
We still love it. Still no problems with leaking or anything. One new thing is that we are using disposables at night. Not because of leaking issues, but because of sleeping issues. Kinnley was waking up once an hour most nights for months and I couldn't figure out what the deal was. One day, I saw a Pampers commercial on television bragging about how their diaper keeps baby dry through the night and it was like a light bulb went off. I thought to myself that maybe Kinnley was just uncomfortable with the wetness of the cloth. The first few nights in disposables she slept ALL NIGHT! That was short lived. She is now waking up 3-4 times a night, but to me that is way better than up every hour. Some moms can handle the no sleep thing, I just cannot function.

Breastfeeding:
Also still going strong. She does have one little tooth on the bottom now, and she thinks she needs to be an acrobat while nursing. So to say that I am sore would be putting it lightly. **Cringe**. We do give her a little water during the day (we have been using WOW Cups, they are awesome!) and sometimes we mix a little juice in. I really don't like giving her juice, but her bowel movements have been so hard and painful :( so juice it is.

CoSleeping:
Still loving it. It's seriously in the top five best parenting decisions that we have ever made. Kinnley never has to cry for me in the middle of the night if she needs to nurse or anything. Plus, I love waking up next to her every morning. It's been a challenge, some times she tosses and turns and I get a fist (or foot) in the face, but someday I will miss this...so I just embrace it :)

Upcoming:
It's summa time! And we are enjoying the fairly cool weather we are having for June! I have lots of sensory bin things planned, plus some food ideas we have been trying out. We will have a few beach/airplane/traveling with baby posts coming up in July when we travel to Florida and a few road trip posts when we travel to Chicago in August! BUSY, BUSY! Plus, Kinnley turns the big ONE in August! I've been planning this party for nearly four months now :)
In the near future we have Father's Day coming up, obviously. And this next weekend we are hosting a huge garage sale to try to declutter our house! AH!!

As of right now, I have a little one that needs nursed and laundry that needs changed over and a living room that needs vacuumed! It truly is never ending!
Check back soon for new posts!!
